Effective April 1, 2021, the Solid Waste Division will implement a thirty (30) minute lunch time closure for the West Hawai‘i Sanitary Landfill (WHSL) at Pu’uanahulu.  This closure will occur daily from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.  Adequate time should be given to allow for the return to the scale when drivers enter the landfill close to the noon closure time.  This closure will also affect all users of the West Hawai‘i Organics Facility (Green waste).
